At 5 years old I started performing as a ballet dancer in San Antonio, Texas and later toured with the Michael Sokoloff Dance Troupe. With a BA in Education from the University of Texas I taught school in Texas, New York and Los Angeles while continuing to perfect and expand my performing crafts.


As an actress I have performed at the Whitefire, Colony, Theatre Theartre, Odyssey, Macha, Secret Rose and South Coast Rep theatres in LA. The title role in the equity production of Josefina Lopez’s   “Lola Goes to Roma” in Santa Barbara remains a favorite .  Currently I am awaiting release of the feature film “Melverde” shot in Santiago, Chile. Television appearances include “Desperate Housewives”, “CSI Miami”, “West Wing”, “ER”, “The Shield” and “General Hospital” to name a few.


As a Writer/Director my short film “White Like the Moon” via AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women, has screened in over 60 festivals garnering numerous awards; Best Short Film in the NY Latino Film Festival, Imagen Foundation, Chicago International Film Festival, the Eastman Kodak award and was broadcast on HBO.  Recently my short plays “A Love Letter?” and “A Little Romance, Please” were performed at Theatre Neo and The Actors Workout Studio In Los Angeles.  My children's book “Joaquin and His Tias” is being considered for publication by several houses.
